This marquetry wood work is been made of peaces of different kinds of wood with different colors which are ripsawed by a bow saw. the main guide was a painting. the pieces have about 2mm thickness and are joined together like a puzzle. The source painting is a miniature done by Master Farshchian.
Incredible work my friend. The level of detail that you have captured is extraordinary. The colors and grain are very well chosen to be able to show that detail as well. Just lovely. Which method are you using to be able to cut these pieces? Possibly by hand with knife or maybe a scrollsaw using the double bevel technique? Thanks for any info you can give me as I would like to start doing marquetry myself. Great job.
Amazing piece of woodwork! I cannot imagine how much time you spent on cutting each little detail and then sticking them together... I featured your piece at one of my recent artworks So folks can see what is a marquetry *is daughter of a carpenter * Here's the piece: [link]
